Compliance Policy

Guide To Blogging Online Compliance Disclosure:

Back 2015, the Federal Trade Commission decided to begin a release of some new rules. The new rules set out by the Federal Trade Commission were designed to provide people with better access to their disclosure of compliance. The rules were made and put in place to provide important information. This information is designed to let readers / viewers of websites and media, know if the webmaster / presenter etc is a sponsored, endorced or partnered member of another company. According to blog terms a reader need to know this information to attain if the webmaster is making any money when they decide to share a particular product or a hyper link.

All websites including Guidetoblogging.online are and should be complying with the guide lines set out by the FTC in 2015. The users and viewers of Guidetoblogging.online, should assume the information below with regard to its posts, pages and links:

Many links are internal reference links but most links Guidetoblogging.online are currently using are known as affiliate links These affiliate links provide quite a small compensation from a sale of certain items (digital or physical).

What are these affiliate urls?

Put simply a affiliate url is a link taken for another webiste that the user associates them selves with. A purchas may be made on an external affiliate companies websites. Many companies now offer affiliate programes where you can gain a comission for refering people to their product or service. Generally when readers click on a affiliate url (located on a web page or post), to purchase an item, the reader purchases the product directly from the seller, not from Guidetoblogging.online. Companies such as Amazon and / or others will pay Guidetoblogging.online a very small commission or other compensation If they promoted their company website, blog, service or product through their provided affiliate program. Signups to these programes are usually free. There is no difference in price for you, weather you go through the affiliate link or a direct link that is called a non affiliate link. This means either link you will never pay more than its current retail price by clicking on the link.

There are mainly 2 types of affiliate programs we use:

1. Amazon urls / Clickbank affiliate links:

Guidetoblogging.online is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program& Clickbank, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com. Amazon & Clickbank offer a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via our Amazon affiliation or other links, supports our cause at no additional cost to you.

If a blogger links to an affiliate or other Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader places an item in their “shopping cart” through that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, the blogger gets a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links and other affiliated links, are not “pay per click.” If you click on the product link and stay around Amazon for example and purchase something else, however, I will get commission on that sale.

Anytime you see a link that looks like astore.com/… or amazon.com… it can be assumed that it is an Amazon affiliate link.

2. Product affiliate links:

These affiliate links work the same way: if you click the link and buy the product, then the blogger gets a percentage of the sale or some other type of compensation. Things like e-book bundles, e-courses, and online packages are usually affiliate links, as well. Again, prices are not different if you use these affiliate links. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link. These links are not “pay per click”, unless otherwise denoted.

What about sponsored content?

I do not write sponsored posts. I want to bring you real, unbiased information. However, if a post is sponsored by a company and it is a paid sponsorship, I will disclose this clearly in the beginning of the post.
