If you want to learn how to start blogging for money, you have come to the right place. Here you will learn a few tips to help you make money from blogging.
I have broken this short guide down into 5 easy steps for you to follow. These will help you understand how to make money from blogging.
1. Start a blog / website:
Before you start to think about making money from blogging, you need somewhere to send people. It is true you can make articles and share them with people on Ezine or social media, but that will not gain you much interest. Put it this way. I want to learn about making candles so I search for a book. I find only 1 or 2 good pages and decide to go to another bookstore instead. I need more information than just one book. It is important to create your website so people gain better value and knowledge from you and keep coming back. Im not saying that sharing a page here and there is a bad thing. This can help to grow traffic for your blog. I am just saying that you need somewhere to refer people to so they gain more info. If you don’t your customers will move on and quickly pick up some else’s book.
2. Create helpful / interesting content:
Your blog is your baby, you need to nurture it so it can grow big and strong. Keep it simple. Think about what you want your blog to do for people and what it is going to be about. Create your about page and start making your first post. A blog starts out the same way as a book. You have a theme and just need to fill those pages. Put yourself in your reader’s shoes. You blog post should help them solve a problem or give them important info like news and events. Be your self. A blog post is not difficult to write. It’s like talking to your friend or family member and sharing what you have learned or been doing recently. Don’t forget to add images and more importantly save your progress as you go.

If you are really stuck for ideas when generating content, then you will want to use a tittle generator. This will provide you with the first step in creating a great piece of new blog content. Google & other search engines love new content. New content helps your blog gain even more visitors. A blog with newly and regularly added articles and pages will gain more interest than a site that is never updated and somewhat lacking in giving customers value.
3. Your appearance is key / blog style:
If you go out on a date you want to look your best. You want to be noticed, so you dress to dazzle and impress. You should then treat your website in the same way. Your website is new on the market. It has the ability to open the floodgates to your success and bring viewers in. Your blog appearance may mean the difference between a viewer coming back or forgetting about it. Be creative and check out the latest WordPress themes and experiment with a variety of colours and backgrounds. A newly updated site will always interest readers but don’t get to carried away. Your site should look good and have a nice feel to it. Websites that are too cluttered and garish, with inappropriate backgrounds don’t keep readers for long. Keep an eye on your blogging style. Your writing should continue to flow nicely and be a similar font / layout to other pages on your website. If you start using very large writing and then on another page vey small text, it will look a bit odd. Your theme can always be changed latter to suit yours or your readers needs. Your main aim however is to be consistent and not change it to regularly. You want to keep traffic coming in and gain new and regular customers.
Here are some theme examples you might use, selecting a good theme will make your blog stand out from others:
4. Menus and sub menus / sell content:
Unless you have been living under a rock, anyone who owns or has seen a web page will know how important a menu is. When you go to a restaurant one of the first things you see is a menu. If you do not like what you see, you will not go any further. Create interesting menu tittles, but keep them short. Add any pages or post to your menu bar as sub menus, by indenting them. Most websites now use drop down menus ass apposed to a full list. This keeps your site nice and tidy. Use / create a custom menu for your website. This will allow you to add a range of menu items to the side bar. These should be chosen carefully to help readers navigate your site. Give your readers more choice, offer them something else they may find interesting. A good idea is to ensure you have added your website topics to the side or header bar. This will allow users to find out more information they require. You can also link external webpages by their url and integrate these into your menus. This means you can easily let users know about another website or product they may find useful.
5. Advertisements and widgets / Unlock your income:
Now your blog has come a long way since you first started. Slowly your traffic is increasing especially if you remember to share it on free sites like social media. You can advertise your blog on forums and make new friends that may also share your blog. A blogging income will not happen over night, but a regular feeding of traffic will get your blog off rock bottom. Don’t forget to use widgets on your blog. This not only helps your users navigate, but helps you place advertisements and additional content your readers may enjoy. You can for example use the text widget to place html code in your websites side bar. Great for sharing the image and link to a product on another site or adding your web form you made in e.g: GetResponse.
